Welcome to Gamely Giving

"So many people write off gaming as the ultimate time-waster, as chewing gum for the brain or something that turns teenagers into slack-jawed at best or ultra-violent at worst. But it can delight, and it can give people trapped in their own bodies an escape into a world they can control.” - Rebecca Armstrong, Features Editor for The Independent
We're a team of friends and bloggers who support the amazing work of SpecialEffect. This wonderful UK-based charity aims to put fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them to play video games, using equipment such as modified controllers and eye-control technology.

We take part part in the GameBlast marathon stream in February each year, and participate in other events such as fun-runs and volunteering on the organisation's stand at gaming expos.

Thank you for joining us at our online home. Read on to find out more about us and how you can get involved.

Get involved and show your support

SpecialEffect doesn’t charge for any of their one-to-one support or equipment they provide. That’s why your involvement means so much and goes a long way towards enabling people with physical disabilities to enjoy a better quality of life.
